“The Cave” at Serbian American Museum St. Sava is one of most original and imaginative new underground performance venues. Literally modeled after a cave in design, this venue has the mystical feel of a fantasy land located far beyond its actual location in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago. Sound fills every crevice of The Cave’s acoustically balanced intimate performance space. The unique floor plan provides plenty of room for dancing and tables for lounging while sipping on a cocktail from the bar. A full bar is available for patrons over 21 years-old.
After opening its doors in mid-2009, The Cave has hosted numerous multi-cultural performances. With a focus on music from the former Yugoslavia, diversity and quality also play a large role in programming. The Cave has hosted musicians from Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia, Canada, Africa, Brazil and the United States.
